I am a gardener based in Shipley, who plans and maintains domestic gardens all year round. I can provide pots and bespoke planters for any sized garden and am happy to source plants for customers. I also work in surrounding areas such as Bingley, Cottingley, Eldwick and Saltaire.
I can trace my love of gardening back to my Grandpa who along with my Nana brought me up in the late 1960’s. They had a large house in Sutton Coldfield on the outskirts of Birmingham. The garden was a decent size with a large rectangular lawn and deep borders down each side. Beyond the lawn was a small orchard, greenhouse, veggie plot, swing and best of all an air old raid shelter! The green house was full of fuchsias, grandpa’s favourites, and apparently according to other family members who lived on the same road Grandpa used to grow bedding plants for the neighbours.
Being an outdoor/active child and with a full time hard-working mum, throughout my teenage years I took control of our small garden and in the summer months would spend the whole day mowing, weeding and planting until the sun went down.
I have now turned my passion into a business with the help from family, friends and fellow incredibly knowledgeable gardeners. There is no doubt that the best bit is sharing a love of gardening with other like-minded people who may not always have the time to keep up to their gardens just as they want to, like my mum all those years ago.
